Camera Work Analysis (Waterloo Road)

First Screening: What is the atmosphere of the sequence, how does it make you feel and who do you identify with, if anyone?
The atmosphere of the sequence was tense before she died, and you were held in suspense because the scene was quite long.
It makes the audience feel quite shocked when shes killed because we dont really expect it, then when she dies and her mum is introduced we have sympathy for the mum and friend because they have just lost someone very close to them.

Second Screening: List and describe shot types, angle, movement and distance?
Shot Types:
Reaction Shot, Aerial Shot, Two Shot, Long Shot, Close up Shot, Extreme Close up Shot, Medium Shot.
Angle:
High Angle and Low Angle
Movement:
Tracking, Crane, Handheld

Third Screening: Take one area of focus and answer how and why the camera work is used to make us feel this way?  We chose camera angle.
High angle and Low angle were both used in this sequence for example, when Maxine is thrown on the floor a high angle is used to show how vunrable she is.
