In this short clip it showed us how gender is represented in this TV drama. It showed us the traditional women, for example you can see a woman with lots of children sprouting from her, showing us the tradition of women having lots of children. It then shows us a man taking a bite from a banana, and then throwing it on the floor. Instead of cleaning it up himself, it shows a pregnant housewife sweeping up the mess for him. Traditional media has again showed us the roles that are expected of women in the past. It then shows a man with two women, one old and got rid of by the man and chucked into a can, whilst another appears who is young, pretty and new. This shows how women used to be 'owned' by men, and treated with disrespect. It then shows a women with her hands full of food shopping, showing us the chores women were expected to carry out, for example doing the shopping and housework. This whole clip shows us the traditional roles of men and women, and how men were superior to women.
