Tombraider Sound and Meaning

What is happening Visually?
What are you seeing?
We are seeing Lara Croft fighting a robotic creature.
What kind of story is being told?
The story being told is of a woman that is raiding tombs
What would you think about or how would you feel about this if all you saw was the visual image with no sound?
It wouldn't create the same intense atmosphere whilst watching it without any sound. It is also boring with out the sound and it is not as easy to understand what is happening.

How would you describe the sound?
How would you describe the music? speed rythm etc
Fast tempo, quick beat. The music runs parallel with the scene itself.
Can you identify the different diegetic and non diegetic sounds?
Diegetic sounds were footsteps, dialogue. Non diegetic sounds were the soundtrack music, the gun shots and the robot sounds.
In what way does the sound add to the narrative?
It gives a clearer indication of what's happening in the scene. Giving the audience a more in depth realism.

What is the overall effect?
Does the sound refelct what is being shown on screen?
Yes.
When the music is combined with the visuals how does it make you feel?
Intense, it gives the audience a sense of awareness and a more involved feeling towards the characters and scenes.
