The inbetweeners
The sub-genre for the Inbetweeners is comedy and it is a series because each episode has an ending and each episode has a new story line.
The main characters in The Inbetweeners are the friendship group of 4 boys, with the series carrying on from when they are about 16 to 18 years old, there are also minor characters like the parents of the boys, some of the school bullies, and a brother of one of the characters.
The story lines differ throughout the series but are based on the boys lives and what they get up to from day to day, including their social life and being at school.
The most popular settings are at school, on the street or in any of their living areas.
All of the characters swear a lot in the series, they speak very informally, very sexually and about sex most of the time and are quite rude towards one another and other people in the series.
There is an opening theme tune at the beginning and end of each episode, and sometimes music throughout to match the scenes to give them more effect, usually an up beat song to match the theme tune.
